Golf Facilities in Chesapeake

Golf in Chesapeake, VA is as relaxing or challenging as you want it to be. From 18 holes over rolling hills to disc golf in the forest with a group of your closest friends, teeing off has never been so fun.

Traditional Golf Courses

The newest Chesapeake golf course happens to be the most unique and challenging layout in the area. Battlefield Golf Club at Centerville is a golf lover’s treasure. Featuring 18 emerald fairways, the course is an ecosystem of rolling hills, pristine fairways, tiered greens, strategically positioned water hazards, and bunkers. Elevation changes of 35 to 40 feet require extra calculations not seen at any other Hampton Roads area golf course, providing a unique golf experience like no other.

As their way of giving back to the Chesapeake community, Battlefield Golf Club hosts a yearly military fundraising tournament as well as Junior Camps that encourage kids to learn the great game of golf.

Chesapeake Golf Club was the first course built in Chesapeake, and to this day the greens are slated as being some of the best in the Tidewater area. The semi-private facility offers annual golf and pool memberships while still allowing public play. The Ellis Maples designed golf course features several strategically placed water hazards and unique bends and turns that present a wonderful challenge.

A well-equipped pro shop and two clubhouses support the activities on the course, around the pool, and during the many banquets, brunches, and special events the club hosts. Best of all, Chesapeake Golf Club is just a quick fifteen-minute hop to nearby Norfolk.

Mini- and Disc- Golf

Located in Southeastern Chesapeake, VA, Northwest River Park and Campground is the perfect blend of natural beauty and recreational activities. The 763-acre park on the banks of its namesake, the Northwest River, supports year-round boating, fishing, hiking, outdoor programs, and, of course, golf.

Visitors frequent the park to try their luck at the disc golf and mini-golf courses, each featuring 18-holes of fun among the pines. The park also has 66 campsites and 2 rental cabins for the perfect golf getaway.

Chesapeake's first disc golf course is a fun, yet challenging course for both beginners and experts. And the 18-hole mini-golf course overlooking Lake Lesa is a peaceful place to practice your putting game. Discs and mini-golf equipment rentals, as well as day passes and memberships, are all available at the ranger station near the entrance of the park.

For an unforgettable golfing experience, look no further than Chesapeake’s classic fairways and modern-day alternatives to the greatest game ever played.
