Blue Heron Landing Park

This park features an elevated boardwalk, oyster castle sill, living shoreline, accessible ramps with railings, and an ADA-accessible floating kayak launch. Please note that parking is limited.

Designed in partnership with Friends of Indian River, this project has created a place to reconnect people with the historic Indian River while showcasing the beauty of restored tidal wetlands and riparian forests. The City acquired the 1-acre piece of land in 2017 through a grant from the Virginia Department of Conservation & Recreation.
