15th Annual Chesapeake Bataan Death March Memorial Walk

The purpose of this annual event is to honor and remember all those who endured one of the most harrowing events in US and Filipino history. The run/walk is a time to honor not only the survivors and those who died in Bataan but all World War II veterans and families. Our goal is to educate today's generation on the sacrifices of the greatest generation. All donations will be graciously accepted and used for the Chesapeake Bataan Death March as well as to support the VFW Post 2894's ongoing mission to serve veterans. The run/walk is a great family event or team building venue for your office or unit.

Historical displays, food sales, silent auction and raffle (MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN) and lots of family friendly activities on site.

The event is open to all ages, families, sports teams, athletic and social clubs, JROTC, ROTC, Military, and First Responders.

Event Schedule:
16.6 mile walk 7:00 AM start
5 mile walk 10:00 AM 
1 mile family walk 11:00 AM
Closing Ceremony 12:00 PM
Registration starts at 6:00 AM

Registration is now open and will continue until 1100 EST April 18:
$30 for Adults 16 and over
$65 for Families of four with children (two adults and two children under 16) 
$20 for Individual children under 16
Register for the 1 or 5-mile run/walk and receive a T shirt
Register for the 16–mile run/walk and receive a T-shirt and a commemorative medal
