Shop 'til You Drop!

From fashion to furniture, Chesapeake, VA is a fantastic destination for bargain-hungry buyers and chic shopaholics to find an array of options for all kinds of consumers.

Day One

Whether you’ve got an empty closet to fill or are simply in need of a style update, Chesapeake is the perfect place to pick up some new threads. With clothing for all ages, sizes, and fashions, the Greenbrier Mall has got you covered. Stop by Nexus for menswear, Segal & Co. Fine Jewelry for jewels, and Collector's Heaven for sports team apparel and gifts, before sitting down for a bite at The Twisted Crab. Drop your bags to delight in plates of Cajun-style seafood like lobster, snow crab, and scallops.

Looking to bring some beach to your bunker? Head up the road to Refreshed. With high-end coastal-inspired furniture, and tones of beige, blue, and white, you’ll be able to enjoy the feeling of sun, sand, and sky right from your home.

At the end of the day, check in to the Hilton Garden Inn Chesapeake/Greenbrier. With easy access to malls, shopping centers, and other “shopportunities,” this location can’t be beaten. And, it doesn’t hurt to have amenities like an on-site gym, indoor pool, and free WiFi.

Day Two

With a 24-hour sundries shop and an on-site restaurant, you won’t have to go far for breakfast. Once you’ve eaten, grab your wallet and head out the door for another day of shops.

Start your day at a local gem like 3 Little Black Birds. Specializing in one-of-a-kind vintage, repurposed, handcrafted, and antique items, this shop features over 80 artists and has a great selection from jewelry and home decor to furniture.

Now that you’ve worked up an appetite, it’s time for lunch. A local staple for almost 50 years, Mister Jim’s will take care of all your tummy’s needs with their impressive menu of sandwiches. Try the Very Sloppy Joe or go for the Grandmaster, a mouth-watering five-meat sandwich topped with hot or sweet peppers.

Continue perusing through Chesapeake’s past at Vintage Trixie. From old photographs, jewelry, and toys, to lighting, decor, and collectibles, visitors are sure to find something extraordinary to take home.

After a full day of shops, stop by Pirate's Cove, a local favorite for fresh seafood, steak, and so much more. Be sure to check out their chalkboard specials for something new each day.

Day Three

To ensure you have enough energy for more browsing and buying, start your morning with a meal at Metro Diner. Grab a table for plates of chicken and waffles, biscuits and gravy, or eggs cooked any way you please. Once you’ve finished your coffee, check out Towne Place at Greenbrier. This outdoor shopping center offers not only stores to pop in and out of, but also places to go for haircuts, lash extensions, and spa treatments, so you’ll look your best after your time away.

At the end of your trip, your wallet may feel lighter, but your home will be filled with true Chesapeake style. Happy shopping!
