Tidewater Striders 2025 Distance Series #3- 10K, 12 Mile and 20 Mile Events

Tune Up Series for spring marathons/half marathons. 

Race Course begin and finish at the entrance to the Dismal Swamp Canal Trail, Rest Stop at mile post 4, Chesapeake, VA 23322 and will be an out and back. The 10K will go out and back 3.1 miles. The 12 and 20 milers will run/walk 6 miles and turn around. 20 milers will come across the timing mats at the finish line  and go out for 4 miles and turnaround and head back to the finish line. This is a chipped time race starting at 8:30 AM. Finish line closure is based on a 15 minute per mile and will close at 1:30 PM.  Early start for 20 milers walkers/slow runners ONLY may be arranged by contacting jphelanrun@gmail.com.

After race party is Tap It Local, 648 Grassfield Parkway, #12, Chesapeake, VA 23323 (3 1/2 miles from the start/finish line in the Wal-Mart shopping center).

Inclement Weather: The Race Director and the Tidewater Striders reserve the right to cancel or reschedule or adjust distances as needed in the interest of safety or access restrictions to the venue.  

Registration closes at 9:00 PM the Friday before each event. You may pick up your race number starting at 7:15 AM to 8:20 AM race morning at the start/finish line. Early packet pickup will be at Running Etc., Hilltop Location the Friday before each event starting at 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Distance Series 3 is a Strider Grand Prix except for the 10K distance.
