Battle Dawgs is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt, non-profit organization based in Talkeetna, AK and Norfolk, VA, that was founded in 2012 by Rick Casillo, a 6x Iditarod Race Musher and Alaska hunting and fishing guide, and his wife Col. Jen Casillo, USAF. "Camp Battle Dawgs", their Alaska lodge, is situated on 650 pristine acres in the Alaskan wilderness and is the primary location where they conduct wilderness decompression camps for combat veterans. “Battle Dawgs Wellness”, located at The Renova Center in Norfolk, VA, provides a variety of health and wellness modalities including individual and group counseling, massage therapy, floatation therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, acupuncture, chiropractic treatment, and orthotic and prosthetic treatments to our warriors before they join us shortly thereafter in Talkeetna, AK for their wilderness camp. The organization is extremely grateful for the hard work and efforts of the Sons of Poseidon, and for their generosity each year, which has provided funding for many combat veterans to participate in decompression camps over the years.
