Dive into the world of decomposition on our Decomposers in Action hike! On this 2-mile walk, we will search for fungi, isopods, worms, and microorganisms as we explore the vital role decomposers play in the forest ecosystem. We will discuss the decomposition process, composting, and how these tiny creatures contribute to healthy soil.

This is an excellent opportunity to understand how nature recycles and sustains itself. Dress for the weather and 2-mile hike. Comfortable, closed-toed shoes are recommended. This program is recommended for mature audiences, but all ages are welcome!

Free but Registration is required. Registration is open August 27 to September 26.
