Join us for our 38th annual Chesapeake Rotary Christmas Parade on December 4, 2021! The Parade’s Co-Chairs are Rotarians Anthony Draper and Lindsey Elliott. This year’s parade is sponsored by the Chesapeake Regional Medical Center. The Chesapeake Rotary Club is proud to partner with the City of Chesapeake in this 38 year old tradition.
Parade Route: The parade begins at Mount Pleasant Road and Battlefield Boulevard and ends in front of City Hall on Cedar Road. Most roads will start closing by 4:15 PM in and around this parade. For easiest parking and great views, come down to the Municipal Complex behind the Central Library on Cedar Road. There will also be food vendors and portable bathrooms. See event website for map.
Additional Information: Public Transit: Bus Route 14 will not be able to service Cedar Road from Battlefield Boulevard to Albemarle Drive between 4:00 PM and 9:00 PM. Hampton Roads Transit advises its customers to board or disembark at either Cedar and Albermarle or Cedar and Pines of Warwick during this time. For details, view HRT's customer service alert. The Great Bridge Community Center will be open during the parade. (Bathroom, Snacks and Family fun). Holiday Parade Pre-Party at the Chesapeake Central Library. 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM.
Please Note: Chairs placed out ahead of time that block the sidewalk or are placed near the street in the right-of-way pose a safety hazard to pedestrians and motorists and will be moved back away from the curb and sidewalk. Thank you for your help.
