Join us for a free family-friendly program where we explore local history from our custom bus, led by Historical Services and Tourism staff! 

February is African American History Month. Together, we will explore historically Black communities dating from early America through the 20th Century. We will visit Battlefield Park, the newly opened Cornland School Museum, the Great Dismal Swamp and The Unknown & Known Afro-Union Civil War Soldiers Memorial in Bells Mill.

Registration is required and seating is limited. Please arrive at 1224 Progressive Drive by 8:45 AM, so we may depart on the bus by 9:00 AM.
