Bells Mill Park will be completely CLOSED to all activities starting November 4, 2016 until further notice due to the construction of an expansion to the Chesapeake City Jail. The first phase of the project will include a new park entry with direct access from Albemarle Drive, and an asphalt parking lot that includes an area for buses to turn around. This phase is scheduled to be completed by summer of 2017. In the interim, the park will be closed to all visitors for their safety and the safety of the construction area.
