Elizabeth River Park will be closed starting April 14, 2014 until September 14, 2014 for improvements. This includes the piers and boat ramp.
The Elizabeth River Park, located on the Southern Branch of the Elizabeth River, has one of the most active boat ramps in the Hampton Roads area. Boaters are able to enjoy easy access to the Elizabeth River and the well-known "Hot Ditch" fishing zone. Boaters can launch and be at the hot ditch in a matter of minutes.
Other Park Amenities:
Adjacent to the park is the newly completed South Norfolk Jordan Bridge. This bridge is truly an engineering marvel, spanning the distance between Chesapeake and Portsmouth at a maximum height of 160 feet that allows for huge ships to pass under it.
Open sunrise to sunset. Children and pets welcome.
