Located on the banks of the Northwest River in Southeastern Chesapeake, this 763-acre park is the perfect blend of natural beauty and recreational activities. Incorporating camping; an extensive trail system; picnic shelters; play areas such as horse shoes, volleyball nets, and the new "Dude Ranch" mini golf course; and an equestrian area for horse owners, this four time winner of the "Best of Chesapeake", has something to offer everyone.
The park offers 66 groomed campsites and two cabins available from April 1 to November 30 and can accommodate trailers up to 50 ft. in length.
Northwest River Park and Campground is also a stop on the Virginia Birding and Wildlife Trail.
