Lemongrass Grille is the vision of Robert Brennan and sister Jackie Ivester. Robert and Jackie have long loved the cuisine of SE Asia for its bold ingredients, flavors and provincial cooking methods. Robert and Jackie feel that, among all ethnic cuisines, Progressive Asian best lends itself to minimal processing and maximum flavor.
Robert has over 20 years experience in the foodservice industry. Robert was picked for one of four management positions from over 80m applicants for the brand new Norfolk Waterside Marriott in 1990. Robert left the Marriott to be the Food and beverage Director for a Virginia Beach national hotel chain. In 1997 Robert started Brennan’s Bistro & Catering and ran this successful restaurant with management responsibilities for over 25 people until the sale of the restaurant in September 2005. Robert is intimately acquainted with all areas of running a successful volume restaurant & catering facility.
Jackie has a wide array of experience in the foodservice industry. She started out as a customer service representative for local area food brokers and then moved on the Jennette Fruit & Produce Company. She joined Robert at Brennan’s Bistro & Catering Company to develop and manage the restaurant along with growing the catering business. Most recently Jackie has worked as Director of Catering for Doubletree by Hilton Virginia Beach. Jackie’s expertise and passion is providing excellent customer service.
Our menu is all natural, everything, all the time. We buy from local farmers and utilize local organic ingredients whenever possible. We use high quality all natural ingredients that are hormone, GMO, CAFO and antibiotic free. We make all that we can from scratch right in our restaurants.
With our wide open kitchen, Lemongrass offers an “open-air” approach to our restaurant. We invite our guests to see what’s cooking and how we’re cooking it! We welcome you to visit our restaurant and give our unique concept a try. We make everything we can from scratch right in our restaurants. Sauces, marinades, dressings; you name it, we make it. We buy from local farmers whenever possible. We use high quality all natural ingredients that are hormone, GMO, CAFO and antibiotic free.
