The Musical Soul Food Network (America's premiere family friendly syndicated radio network) will host the second annual Musical Soul Food Festival on Saturday, June 24, 2017 on the sixty-acre Chesapeake City Park in Chesapeake, VA. Over 12,000 people showed up for last year's inaugural festival where Grammy® Award winning recording artist, Dr. Bobby Jones, was honored for hosting "Bobby Jones Gospel" on the BET cable channel for 35 years.

This year, the festival will honor legendary choirmaster and recording artist, Kurt Carr, for his thirty-plus career in music that features hits such as "For Every Mountain," "God Blocked It" and the gold-selling album, "In the Sanctuary." The festival kicks off at 2:00 PM and continues until 9:00 PM. Among the confirmed acts are current Grammy® nominee Jekalyn Carr, past Grammy ® nominee Vashawn Mitchell, with other major acts pending. Musical Soul Food on-air personalities such as Dorinda Clark Cole, Melvin Williams, Liz Black, Earl Bynum and Tracy Morgan will be on hand as well.

Aside from a full day of great inspirational music by some of today's top gospel recording artists; there will be a wide-gamut of fun activities ranging from basketball challenges, volleyball, Zumba, line-dancing, fitness aerobics in the We-Fit Zone, food vendors and more. The festival is made possible with the support of Cracker Barrel Old Country Stores, Toyota of Elizabeth City, HBK Media and others.
