Race starts at 8:00 a.m. rain or shine.
Elite Athletes: For information on registering as an elite athlete, please review the elite athlete requirements. Runner's resumes must be received by March 30th to be considered for elite athlete status and receive elite benefits. No exceptions will be made for resumes not received on time.

Packet Pickup: Packet pickup and ChampionChip disbursement will be during the Race Expo on April 17, 2008 from 3 p.m. - 8 p.m. and April 18, 2008 from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. at the Chesapeake Conference Center located at 900 Greenbrier Circle, Chesapeake, VA 23320.
THERE WILL BE NO RACE DAY PACKET PICKUP.
Pacers: We are pleased to announce that we will once again have pace teams for the Dismal Swamp Stomp. Our pacers have been carefully chosen and promise to do something that most marathons don't do - set an intelligent pace given our course terrain to increase the likelihood of you achieving your goal. The Dismal Swamp Stomp half marathon pacers are an all-star team of sorts with their running backgrounds and positive personalities. Combine that with an intelligent gameplan and you have a winner! There will be an opportunity to meet them at the expo/packet pickup as well as a gathering place before the start of the race. We encourage you to take advantage of this major perk!
