The Chesapeake Rotary Christmas Parade

For the past 40 years, the Chesapeake Rotary has put on an annual Christmas Parade. This year's theme is "Christmas Candy Land." With the procession going down on December 2nd it's the perfect way to kick off the holiday season. The floats get running at 6 p.m. - visit the website to view the parade route.

Virginia Symphony Orchestra Holiday Brass Concert

On December 14 at 7 p.m., the world-class Virginia Symphony Orchestra will perform a free concert at the Chesapeake Conference Center. Come and hear colorful renditions of holiday favorites ranging from classic to contemporary. Doors open an hour before the show begins.

Triple R Ranch's Christmas in the Country

From December 1 - 23, Chesapeake's Triple R Ranch hosts its annual holiday celebration. This event includes a drive-thru display of thousands of lights and a live nativity scene to get in the Christmas spirit. Want to extend your time on the ranch? For an additional fee, you can reserve your space for the dine-in meal with hayride.

Christmas Past & Present

On December 9, swing by the Great Bridge Battlefield & Waterways Museum and learn about holiday traditions from times gone by. Use the provided passport to travel through three different time periods, stopping at different children's craft stations along the way. Be sure to bring your camera for a photo with Santa. Event included with admission.
